Known for its friendly atmosphere and freshly made dishes, La Casita has quickly become a favorite among locals and travelers alike.

As I stepped inside, the warm and inviting décor instantly set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant is commendable, and the welcoming staff truly enhances the overall ambiance. It’s a place where you feel at home, whether you're here for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with family and friends.

The menu is a treasure trove of Mexican favorites. For those craving something savory, the chicken strips and fries or a basket of crispy hot wings are tantalizing choices. The kids will adore their meals, which include options like the cheese enchilada with rice and beans and the grill cheese combo, all priced wisely to suit family outings.

On my recent visit, I relished the chile verde burrito, which was bursting with flavor, complemented by the perfect ratio of tender meat and sauce. My companions enjoyed the shredded beef flautas and green chili cheese enchiladas, both beautifully plated and utterly delicious. The rice was a standout, proving that a good Mexican meal is often defined by its side dishes.

Guests consistently rave about the attentive service, enhancing the overall enjoyment of their meals. As Maria Hernandez noted, the atmosphere is both relaxing and welcoming, making it a perfect stop for travelers seeking authenticity in their dining experience.

Drinks at La Casita range from refreshing Jarritos to classic fountain sodas, ensuring there’s something for everyone. If you're stopping by, I highly recommend ending your meal with a traditional horchata to sweeten your experience.

Popped in for breakfast burritos and so glad we did. Best one I’ve had in a while! I had sausage and my husband had bacon. The pico was the perfect addition. Everything was fresh and made to order and delicious. The staff were really kind too

If you’re looking for delicious Mexican food on your travels, this is the spot you need to stop at. The atmosphere is relaxing, welcoming, and very clean! I had the chile verde burrito and it did not disappoint, it was so flavorful. My family enjoyed the flautas and street tacos. You know the Mexican food will be good when the rice is good and this rice was delicious! The service was excellent, the people were attentive, kind and they received us with a smile on their faces. With that, Thank you! :)

Good food at fair prices. Not far from downtown main street. Cute little spot; clean and has restrooms. Service was friendly, knowledgeable, and asked several times if we needed anything. The wet burrito I did half green and half red was really good and filling. My friends got the shredded beef flautas and green chili cheese enchiladas. The plates were colorful and plated beautifully. They do have fountain sodas along with some bottled choices (no alcohol).

This is a charming little Mexican restaurant a little bit off the highway, and definitely worth the detour. The chips and salsa were excellent, and likely made there. I loved the beef enchiladas with the good sauce and shredded beef. Rice snd beans were as lid good. Lunch is not a big meal which suited me just fine. We also received great service.

We just finished our enchilada plates and we loved it. Everything was delicious. Menu is easy, service was fast, the whole restaurant was very clean. Our server was sweet and helpful both she and the cook told us bye as we left. Good people and good food, can’t wait to eat there again!

Great little restaurant. If you’re going through town on your way to Death Valley, we highly recommend this place. They have breakfast and we were there at 8:30am. The staff were really nice and the food was very very delicious. It’s a nice cozy place with great coffee. My wife forgot her purse inside and we were lucky to still be in the parking lot when the staff came out running to give it to us.

We were going to go to another restaurant, but it was closed, so we tried La Casita… thank goodness we did!!! We were 1st greeted with a friendly face. We asked for their recommendations and got the carne asada plate and 2 carne asada tacos to go. Very delicious! It’s not on the main road, so you’ll have to drive a short distance, but it’s worth it. Make this you place to eat when you stop in Barstow! You won’t regret it!

This place is a hidden gem. It’s a small family business, tucked out of the way, and probably only frequented by the locals. The chips and salsa were amazing! You can taste how fresh the salsa is. Mexican street tacos, carne asada and al pastor. The al pastor tacos were a little better than the carne asada, but they were both great Biscuits and gravy side. The gravy didn’t have any sausage in it, but it kinda tasted like sausage. If you get the plate (instead of the side) it comes with sausage and eggs. Also got a chicken quesadilla and an al pastor quesadilla to go.
